Il progetto indaga la connessione tra l'oggetto di adorazione religiosa e il sistema di credenze religiose. Si pone domande relative sugli elementi universalmente condivisi di queste raffigurazioni visive, cosa rende meritevole di omaggio e preghiera un oggetto anziché un altro?

Il progetto sottopone all’intelligenza artificiale questi manufatti e la interroga affinché individui regolarità e struttura, il minimo comun denominatore. In risposta l’algoritmo offre il riflesso dell’analisi delle rappresentazioni esistenti nella sua memoria e genera un nuovo racconto, in cui si insinua l’errore, dovuto alla varietà dei dati a disposizione, alla loro discordanza, all’equivoco.

Molteplici punti di vista portano al caos e mettono di fronte all’interrogativo sul concetto di giusto e sbagliato: essendo queste rappresentazioni derivate dall’analisi di rappresentazioni giuste, sono esse giuste? L’atto di fede si può legittimamente compiere? Se il modello originale è inconoscibile chi può stabilirne la verità?

The purpose of this project is to investigate how the object of religious worship is linked to the system of religious beliefs. The universal elements of these visual representations raise questions: what distinguishes one object from another in terms of being worthy of homage and prayer?

The project submits these products to artificial intelligence and asks it to identify regularity and structure, the lowest common denominator. The algorithm responds by reflecting on the analysis of the representations in his memory and creating a new story, where the error is implied due to the variety of data available, their discordance, and misunderstanding.

Multiple points of view lead to chaos and confront the question about the concept of right and wrong: since these representations derive from the analysis of right representations, are they right? Can the act of faith be legitimately accomplished? If the original model is unknowable who can establish its truth?
